Learning Disability Day

COLERAINE FC will be hosting a learning disability day at Saturday’s clash against Linfield…

The Bannsiders will be conducting a bucket collection for the Coleraine Cougars Special Olympics Basketball Club, with pupils from Sandelford School being special guests for the fixture at The Showgrounds.

There will also be a teddy bears picnic for members of our disability supporters’ club and they will also present medals to their favourite players after the game.

At half-time, there will be a match between Coleraine Strikers players on the pitch.

Our Guest of Honour will be James Martin who made it into the Guinness World Records by becoming the first leading man with Down Syndrome in an Oscar-winning film.

James, who turned 31 on the same day of the Oscars ceremony, became the first person with Down Syndrome to win an Oscar for his performance in An Irish Goodbye.
