COLERAINE Women Reserves travelled to Wellington Rec Women Athletic last night in a tightly-contested match…
The two teams had chances inside the opening 45 minutes but neither could make the breakthrough in the NIWFA Division 6 contest.
As both teams went in search of the opener, the hosts managed to make the breakthrough. However, the girls were undeterred and tried their best to find an equaliser.
Unfortunately, their hopes of getting something from the game ended when Wellington added their second of the evening late on.
Whilst it wasn’t the result the squad were hoping for, it is all of part of the learning curve for many players in their first excursions into adult football.
