Loan Report

COLERAINE currently have three players out on loan and here’s a recap of how they got on during December…

Eamon Fyfe has linked-up again with former boss Niall Currie at Portadown whilst Lewis Tosh is currently embarking on a second successive loan at Limavady United.

Luca Doherty has also joined the Roesiders on loan as he hopes to gain senior experience under Paul Owens’ leadership.

EAMON FYFE

Eamon played in all five of Portadown’s games in all competitions and netted three times.

Portadown would start the month with a 2-0 loss away at Dundela but Fyfe would score in the 2-0 win against Loughgall in the quarter-final of the BetMcLean Cup.

Fyfe would then net in a 4-2 win against Ards in the Championship before Niall Currie’s side lost successive games against Ballinamallard United and Annagh United, with Fyfe scoring in the latter.

Portadown are currently 4th in the Championship standings and will face Mid-Ulster rivals Glenavon in the semi-final of the BetMcLean Cup.

LEWIS TOSH

Lewis would start all five of Limavady’s contests in December as they were involved in both the Playr-Fit Intermediate and Craig Memorial Cup.

Paul Owens’ side would start the month with a 3-0 defeat at Rathfriland Rangers before playing out a 3-3 draw away at Queen’s University.

However, they would return to winning ways in the Playr-Fit Intermediate with a 2-1 win at home to Armagh City, before lifting the Craig Memorial Cup on Boxing Day as Tosh scored in a 3-0 win.

The month ended in a seven-goal thriller as the Roesiders edged out Ballymacash Rangers with a 4-3 victory to go top-of-the-table.

LUCA DOHERTY

Luca was a used substitute in all five of Limavady’s games throughout December as he continues to gain experience.

United have already lifted silverware in the form of the Craig Memorial Cup and will face Institute on January 23 in the final of the North-West Senior Cup.

The Roesiders will also lock horns with Fivemiletown United in the third round of the Intermediate Cup.
