COLERAINE currently have five players out on loan and here is a monthly round-up of how they’re getting on…

Cathair Friel is enjoying a short-term loan spell at Institute, whilst Caiolan Brennan and Lewis Tosh are plying their trade at Limavady United for the season.

Similarly, Alexander Gawne is spending the season at Carrick Rangers whilst Ronan Wilson is also at H&W Welders for the 2022/23 campaign.

CATHAIR FRIEL

The striker featured four times for Institute during the month of September.

‘Bushy’ started all of those four of those contest and netted a goal in the 2-0 win against Ballyclare Comrades.

Friel was ineligible to play against the Bannsiders in the North-West Cup.

CAIOLAN BRENNAN

Brennan is currently enjoying his second loan spell at Limavady United and played four times during the month of September.

The winger started three of those games against Newry City (BetMcLean League Cup), Orangefield OB (Irish Cup) and Banbridge Town (Lough41 Premier Intermediate).

Brennan was a used substitute in the penalty shoot-out defeat to Moyola Park in the North-West Cup.

LEWIS TOSH

This is Lewis’ first season in senior football and he also made four appearances this month for Limavady United.

The left-sided player started in the penalty shoot-out defeats to Newry City in the BetMcLean League Cup and Moyola Park in the North-West Cup.

However, he would have joy in the Irish Cup as he netted in the 5-1 win against Orangefield OB, as well as being used from the bench in the recent Premier Intermediate clash against Banbridge Town.

RONAN WILSON

Wilson is currently playing in the Championship at H&W Welders and started all five games this month.

The midfielder featured in the Cup defeats to Cliftonville (League Cup) and Carrick Rangers (County Antrim Shield), as well as playing in the league games versus Institute, Loughgall and Ballinamallard United.

The Welders have recently appointed Paul Kee as manager.

ALEXANDER GAWNE

The move marked a fourth loan arrangement for Alex at Carrick Rangers and he has already banked some valuable game time.

Alex started in the Amber Army’s wins against H&W Welders (County Antrim Shield) and versus Ballymena United in the Danske Bank Premiership.

Gawne was a used substitute in Carrick’s games against Larne (1-0 defeat), Glenavon (2-2 draw) and Banbridge Town (5-0 win).
