COLERAINE currently have five players out on loan and here’s a recap of their progress throughout August…
Jamie McGonigle is currently at League of Ireland side Sligo Rovers on a temporary basis, with Alfie Gaston also spending time on loan at Limavady United who have returned to the top-flight.
Three players are gaining experience in the Championship as Alex Watson (Glenavon), Cead McGrath (Moyola Park) and Tiernan Brolly (Institute) all sealed loan moves for the season ahead.
Here is a breakdown of how each have fared during August.
JAMIE MCGONIGLE
The striker completed a short-team loan deal with Sligo Rovers back in July, which will see him at the League of Ireland side until January.
McGonigle has made a total of five appearances for the Bit O’Red since arriving but has missed the last two League of Ireland games against Waterford and Bohemians.
Sligo are currently bottom of the League of Ireland Premier Division table as they aim to avoid the drop but they have reached the quarter-final of the FAI Cup, where they will take on Waterford.

The Roesiders have narrowly lost all three of their Premiership encounters so far, with their trip to Larne earlier in the month being postponed due to the Invermen’s European commitments.
