Lowry: ‘Final 12 minutes felt like forever’

COLERAINE midfielder Stephen Lowry spoke of his delight after the Bannsiders sealed a 2-1 win against Larne…

The Stripes made it five wins in succession as Lowry and James McLaughlin scored inside the first 10 minutes of the contest, with Coleraine hanging on for all three points after Albert Watson pulled a goal back for the hosts.

Lowry admits the final twelve minutes “felt like forever” as they had to dig deep to secure the victory as Watson ensured a tense finish to proceedings.

The Bannsiders enter a busy run of fixtures and Lowry insists he will “manage his body” over the next few weeks but highlighted the strength of depth at The Showgrounds.

Coleraine turn their attentions to Crusaders next weekend and Lowry is expecting “a tough game” against Stephen Baxter’s side.
