Lowry: “I have to thank my wife”

STEPHEN Lowry spoke to Coleraine TV after being announced as the club website’s Player of the Year…

The midfielder beat off competition from Lyndon Kane and Curtis Allen to win the award for the first time in his career.

The Limavady man made 44 appearances in all competitions and he was quick to thank fans for their votes, as well as his team mates for their contributions.

The 34-year-old reflected on a busy schedule throughout the campaign and revealed that he had to manage his body well to play so many minutes.

Reflecting on the 2020/21 campaign, the former Linfield ace admits he was gutted to not take the fight for the Gibson Cup until the final day of the season but believes the Stripes can be proud of their achievements as they secured European football in July.
