Lowry wanting to finish on a high

STEPHEN Lowry believes he still has ‘a lot to offer’ after putting pen-to-paper on a new one-year deal with the club…

The midfielder is set to add to his 354 appearances for the Bannsiders following the fresh terms and that he wants to do his talking on the pitch after turning 36-years-old.

Lowry suffered three injuries last year which curtailed his playing time and the Limavady man remarked that it was a difficult time for him but he now feels good and in a better mental state.

The new deal will also see Lowry coach when needed and he acknowledged that he enjoyed doing a similar role last year and he sees that as a long-term option.

Lowry added that the standards at Coleraine have grown in the last four or five years and that the Bannsiders aren’t content with finishing 6th in the table.
