COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that Kodi Lyons-Foster has signed a pre-contract agreement and will officially join the club ahead of the 2025/26 season…

The 28-year-old defender has agreed a multi-year deal, with the move taking effect following the expiry of his contract with Glentoran at the end of May.

Lyons-Foster becomes Ruaidhri Higgins’ first signing since taking charge at The Showgrounds, as the new manager begins shaping his squad for the season ahead.

A product of the Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa academies, Lyons-Foster has built a strong reputation across the English lower leagues and more recently in the Irish Premiership. He brings leadership, composure and a commanding presence at the heart of the defence.

Manager Ruaidhri Higgins said: “I’m delighted Kodi has decided to join the club. He was one of the standout defenders in the league last season.

“We’ve had some great conversations and I’ve been really impressed by his professionalism and hunger to succeed. As a centre-back, he’s entering his prime years, which will be a huge asset to us. He has a lot of the qualities we look for in a player and the staff are excited to get working with him.”

Speaking about the move, Lyons-Foster said: “I’m really looking forward to joining Coleraine. After speaking to Ruaidhri, I was excited by the plans for the future and the ambition around the club. I’ve really enjoyed my time in the league and I’m grateful to Glentoran, but this felt like the right move for me.

“I’ve heard brilliant things about the fans and the atmosphere at The Showgrounds, and when I played there this season it really stood out. I’m excited about what’s ahead and buzzing to get started.”

Further details about Kodi’s arrival, including his first interview as a Coleraine player, will follow in due course.
