The Bannsiders would remain in third spot in the Danske Bank Premiership after goals from Aaron Traynor and Alexander Gawne sealed the success in East Antrim.

The deadlock was broken on 11 minutes as a long throw-in by Aaron Canning was flicked on by Emmett McGuckin into the path of Aaron Traynor. The full back – who scored at the same venue back in September – would repeat that feat as he slotted past Liam McAuley.

The second-half was a more bright affair and Coleraine were awarded a penalty on 51 minutes as Daniel Kelly barged into Stephen O’Donnell inside the box. The ball was picked up by Josh Carson but the midfielder’s spot kick was saved by McAuley. Moments later, Coleraine would have Chris Johns to thank as he expertly kept out William Faulkner’s drive from distance to keep the Bannsiders in the lead.

Coleraine would wrap up the points on 84 minutes as a long ball forward was controlled by Ian Parkhill who darted inside the area, and after his effort was parried by McAuley, the lively Alexander Gawne would pounce to seal the win.
