On the stroke of half-time, Coleraine would regain the lead as Nedas Maciulaitis’ shot was deflected into the net by Loughran. On 63 minutes, the lead was stretched even further as Aaron Jarvis headed in at the back post, with Aaron Traynor completing the scoring with his first goal in Coleraine colours.

In a late flurry of chances, Carrick ‘keeper Aaron Hogg was alert to deny Maciuliaitis and Alexander Gawne from adding to the scoreline.
