Coleraine picked up all three points after a 4-0 success against the Irish Cup holders at The Showgrounds.

Ruaidhri Higgins’ men made the breakthrough on 12 minutes when Jamie Glackin released the run of Zane Okoro and the winger made no mistake with a low finish.

Soon after, the lead was doubled as Dylan Boyle won possession and linked-up with Glackin. The ball was spread out to Dean Jarvis who saw his dangerous delivery forcing an own goal through Caolan Marron.

Chances would arrive before the interval as Okoro went close on three occasions, with Matthew Shevlin also denied by Declan Dunne.

Coleraine forged 3-0 ahead ten minutes after the restart when Joel Cooper picked the ball up in his own half, surged forward and blasted the ball beyond a helpless Dunne.

The victory was completed just after the hour mark after referee Ian McNabb pointed to the spot after Shevlin was upended in the penalty box by Steven Scott. The resulting penalty was hit home by Will Patching on his 27th birthday.
