Coleraine made it four victories in a row in the BOYLE Sports Premiership after a dramatic 3-2 success against their derby rivals.

The Bannsiders hit the front on 12 minutes when Jay Henderson’s wicked cross was palmed only as far as Matthew Shevlin who lashed home from close range.

After Ballymena threatened through James Hood’s effort, the hosts doubled their advantage on 32 minutes when Jay Henderson’s shot from distance sailed beyond David Walsh and into the net.

However, the visitors halved the arrears less than ten minutes after the restart through Hood’s finish, with Coleraine then going close through Joel Cooper who was twice denied by Walsh.

The scores were then level with ten minutes to go when referee Tim Marshall pointed to the spot for handball, which allowed Chris McKee to convert from 12 yards.

But the drama wasn’t done there as Coleraine grabbed a late winner when Ben Doherty’s corner kick was on the money for Aidan Wilson to head home his first goal for the club.
