HIGHLIGHTS from the Bannsiders’ victory against Glenavon can now be viewed on the club’s official YouTube account…

Coleraine left Mourneview Park with all three points as Matthew Shevlin netted a late winner.

The Bannsiders made a bright start and threatened twice within the first 20 minutes as Charles Dunne blazed over, before Lewis McGregor’s ferocious effort cannoned the crossbar.

However, they edged ahead minutes before the break as Adam Long marked his debut with a goal. The big defender had to be drafted on after an injury to Charles Dunne and he finished off a fine team move to put Ruaidhri Higgins’ men ahead.

Glenavon drew level on 71 minutes through Paul McGovern’s finish but they were then reduced to ten men following Francely Lomboto’s dismissal for an off-the-ball incident.

The Stripes pushed forward in a bid to find the winner – and after Ronan Doherty and Lyndon Kane had efforts saved – Shevlin had the final say as he headed in from close range.
