HIGHLIGHTS from the Bannsiders’ victory against Portadown can now be viewed on the club’s official YouTube account…

Coleraine left Shamrock Park with all three points as Will Patching (2), Matthew Shevlin and Joel Cooper all netted in a 4-1 success for the Stripes.

After both teams traded chances, the Bannsiders took the lead on the stroke of half-time when referee Tim Marshall pointed to the spot for a handball. The resulting spot-kick was slammed home by a composed Will Patching.

Just before the hour mark, the advantage was doubled as Cooper and Patching combined as Shevlin gobbled up the rebound after the latter’s shot was parried by Aaron McCarey.

On 68 minutes, Cooper got himself on the scoresheet as the attacker picked up possession and rattled a low strike into the bottom corner for his fourth goal since arriving in the summer.

Patching – who earlier added his first goal since arriving – had the final say as he netted a superb second of the contest as his shot from distance landed in the top corner.

Niall Currie’s men added a consolation goal late on when James Teelan dispatched beyond the dive of Aidan Harris.
