Oran Kearney’s side survived a scare at the start of the half as Gallagher saved from Swan and the rebound was steered over the bar by Fra McCaffrey. However, the deadlock was broken in spectacular fashion on 63 minutes as Kealan Dillon’s long range strike found the top corner.

Coleraine equalised just three minutes later as a corner kick from Glackin was steered home by Stephen O’Donnell despite the best efforts of ‘Point defenders to clear the ball off the line.

The match winner would arrive on 80 minutes via the same combination as a fantastic cross into the area wasn’t defended and O’Donnell met the ball to head home his second of the evening.

There was almost further joy late on as Glackin released Evan Tweed inside the box but he would be denied his maiden goal for the club by the legs of Sava.
