COLERAINE visit Cliftonville for the second time this season as the Bannsiders return to action this afternoon (KO 3pm)…
SPORTS DIRECT PREMIERSHIP
Overview:
Coleraine were not in action last weekend as visitors Larne had call-ups for international duty. However, the Bannsiders did face Limavady United in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday. It means the last competitive action was a 1-1 draw at Linfield as Matthew Shevlin netted a deserved last-gasp equaliser. Ruaidhri Higgins’ men come into the contest currently top of the Premiership table.
Similarly, Cliftonville were also absent from Premiership duty due to international call-ups, meaning their game at Ballymena United was postponed. The Reds’ last outing was a 2-0 victory at home to Dungannon Swifts as defenders Jonny Addis and Odhran Casey got on the scoresheet. Jim Magilton’s men face Ballymena United in the semi-final of the County Antrim Shield on Tuesday night.
