COLERAINE visit Stangmore Park for the first time this season as three Premiership points are up for grab this afternoon (KO 3pm)…
SPORTS DIRECT PREMIERSHIP
Overview:
Coleraine picked up all three points last weekend as Will Patching’s goal was enough to edge out derby rivals Ballymena United at The Showgrounds. The result meant Ruaidhri Higgins’ men remained second in the Premiership standings ahead of this weekend’s action.
Dungannon Swifts have lost their last two games as Rodney McAree’s men were narrowly beaten last time out at Portadown. A goal from Baris Altintop meant the Swifts left Shamrock Park empty-handed to remain fifth in the league table. The Irish Cup holders are at home to H&W Welders in the next round of the competition next weekend.

Manager’s Thoughts:
“I think we’ve put ourselves in a position now where we’re winning games in different ways which is really, really pleasing,” Higgins said.
“We know that if it’s a battle we can win that way, if it’s a football game we can win that way.
“Whatever the game throws up at us, I back our players to go on and put in a really committed and good performance.
“We don’t talk about anything else other than the next game. After Larne beat us 3-0 in early January, we were extremely disappointed and really hurt from that performance more than anything.
“But once that was parked, it was just about our next game and we’ve followed that mantra.”

The match referee will be Niall Devlin.

Ben McMaster has been appointed as the fourth official.
