IT’S a case of midweek football for the Bannsiders as Coleraine are the visitors to Glentoran this evening (KO 7.45pm)…

BOYLE SPORTS PREMIERSHIP

Overview:

Coleraine picked up their fourth successive Premiership triumph last weekend after a thrilling 3-2 victory against Ballymena United. The Bannsiders led 2-0 thanks to efforts from Matthew Shevlin and Jay Henderson, but despite Ballymena fighting back for 2-2, Coleraine would have the final say as Aidan Wilson headed in his first goal for the club to bag all three points. It means Ruaidhri Higgins’ men continued to sit top of the Premiership standings.

Glentoran played out a 1-1 draw against Bangor in their last outing as Jamie Douglas’ equaliser earned a share of the spoils against the Seasiders. The men from east Belfast are now on the lookout for a new manager after it was announced yesterday that Declan Devine had departed the club via mutual consent. Glentoran currently occupy 8th spot in the table and will face Cliftonville at Solitude in the quarter-final of the County Antrim Shield next month.
