Overview:
Coleraine lost for the first time in the Premiership last weekend after a 3-1 defeat to Linfield at The Showgrounds. The visitors made a bright start and led 2-0 at the break and then stretched their advantage just before the hour mark. The Bannsiders managed to pull a goal back through Matthew Shevlin but that was as good as it got. Ruaidhri Higgins’ men reached this stage of the competition after a 5-1 victory against Dergview in the previous round.
Limavady United travel across the mountain on the back of an impressive 1-0 success against Cliftonville last weekend. A solitary goal from Coleraine loanee Jamie McGonigle proved to be the difference as the Roesiders picked up their third league victory of the campaign. Paul Owens’ men defeated Strabane Athletic in the previous round.
