COLERAINE and Linfield meet for the second time in as many weeks as the Bannsiders make the journey to the capital this evening (KO 5:30pm)…
SPORTS DIRECT PREMIERSHIP
Overview:
Coleraine reached the quarter-final of the BetMcLean Cup after a 7-1 win on Tuesday night. The contest saw Rowan McDonald and Lewis McGregor net their first goals for the club – with the draw taking place this evening for the next round and a potential semi-final. The Bannsiders remained at the summit of the Premiership last weekend after a 5-1 victory against Glenavon as Joel Cooper stole the show with a hat-trick.
Linfield were also victorious in the BetMcLean Cup as they came out 6-3 winners after extra-time away at H&W Welders. Their last involvement in the Premiership was a goalless draw at Cliftonville. David Healy’s men are currently 4th in the league standings. Due to international call-ups, their game away at Dungannon Swifts has been postponed – a similar situation to the Bannsiders.

Manager’s Thoughts:
“I think both clubs, players and staff will have learned an awful lot about the recent meeting,” Higgins said.
“But it’s a new game, a different venue, different surface, the size of pitch…all those things.
“It’s something that we’re certainly excited about and we can’t wait to get to Windsor and try to showcase ourselves in a positive manner.
“It would be brilliant to get as many in the Kop as possible and get right behind the team.”
