CONGRATULATIONS to Matthew Shevlin who has been named as the Northern Ireland Football Writers’ Association Player of the Month for April…
Shevlin scored a staggering seven goals in the month, helping the Bannsiders secure second spot in the League, before his double against Dungannon Swifts at Windsor Park fired Coleraine to Cup glory.
Shevlin said: “It has been a fantastic few days for me, first scoring two goals in the Irish Cup Final and now winning this award.
“I love scoring goals and winning awards, but the truth is I couldn’t do either without the help of my teammates. We’ve had a fantastic season, and I’m confident we can push on and achieve even more next season.”
Runner-up to Shevlin was his Coleraine teammate Will Patching, while Crusaders goalkeeper Musa Dibaga was third.
