McCrudden leaves via mutual consent

COLERAINE FC can confirm that Michael McCrudden has departed the club via mutual consent…

The ex-Institute, Derry City and Cliftonville ace joined the Bannsiders in the 2022 summer transfer window and amassed 45 appearances – scoring seven times.

The 32-year-old netted some eye-catching goals with a low crisp finish against Dungannon Swifts in the BetMcLean Cup being one particular highlight.

Coleraine boss Oran Kearney praised McCrudden’s appetite to explore his options after limited game time.

“Michael is a total gentleman and has been a pleasure to work with,” he said.

“Game time has been hard to come by for Michael and we said we would assess things in January as we had a similar conversation in the summer.

“Credit to Michael because he could have seen out his contract for the next six months.

“Everyone at Coleraine FC wishes him well in the future.”
