RUAIDHRI Higgins was pleased his Coleraine side achieved their mission of reaching the Irish Cup semi-final…

The Bannsiders progressed into the last four of the competition, where they will meet Larne, after goals from Joel Cooper and Matthew Shevlin sealed a 2-0 victory against Limavady United.

Higgins stated that they didn’t threaten the Limavady goal enough in the first half but how “a moment of brilliance” from Cooper opened the door just after the hour mark.

Cooper had a massive say in the second goal as he unselfishly teed up Shevlin and Higgins remarked how he believes the attacker is getting even better.

Over 2000 people attended The Showgrounds and Higgins outlined how it was a great showcase for football in the north-west.
