More silverware for 2010 squad

In windy conditions yesterday afternoon, Coleraine Academy 2010’s added to their silverware won from the Foyle Cup after three victories in a very tough group against Maiden City, Trojans, Institute and a draw with Sion Swifts.

This set up a semi-final clash against Top of the Hill Celtic and after overcoming that challenge, the Stripes would face a tough final against Oxford. After going a goal behind with four minutes to go, the wee Bannsiders got their just rewards when they equalised late on.

The match would be decided by penalty kicks and the Coleraine boys had Luke Bellingham to thank as the ‘keeper made two excellent spot kick saves to win the Maiden City tournament for the 2010 squad.
