New deal for Josh

COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that Josh Carson has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract…

The deal will see the Antrim man remain at The Showgrounds until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Carson joined the club in June 2017 and has made 218 appearances, scoring 24 times in the process.

The 29-year-old has lifted the Irish Cup and League Cup during his time on the Ballycastle Road and has featured in a multitude of positions.

Speaking to colerainefc.com, boss Oran Kearney credited Carson for his endeavour week in and week out and believes the former Northern Ireland international has been one of his best ever signings.

“When clubs are successful, it allows for players to earn new contracts and to be fair to Josh, he has been one of our most consistent performers,” he said.

“Josh epitomises our recent success and where we have got as a club and he has a high level of consistency and graft.

“His work rate is phenomenal and he is adaptable at playing in a variety of positions.

“He would probably be up there as one of my best ever signings and I’m pleased that he has agreed this new deal.”
