New deal for Kane

COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that Lyndon Kane has agreed a new three-year deal with the option of a further year with the club…

The 27-year-old has agreed the terms which will see him stay at The Showgrounds until the 2026/27 campaign.

The Coleraine native made his debut for the Bannsiders in a North-West Cup tie against Limavady United in September 2013 and has amassed 307 appearances – scoring 12 times in the process.

Kane was part of the 2020 BetMcLean Cup winning side, with injury cruelly ruling him out of the 2018 Irish Cup success.

This year has marked Kane’s testimonial with the club and this new deal has been greeted positively by boss Oran Kearney.

He said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce this new deal for Lyndon.

“He’s had his fair share of rumours in the last number of years about going to other clubs, and rightfully so, because he’s one of the best there is in his position.

“It is great to get Lyndon tied down because with his age he is set to come into the best three or four years of his career with the experience he has already gained.

“He’s always kept himself in great shape and we are pleased to get everything confirmed.”
