SENAN Devine says he wants to play a big part in helping the club achieve their goals after putting pen-to-paper on a new deal at The Showgrounds…
The 19-year-old has agreed a new three-year contract which will see him remain at the Ballycastle Road until the end of the 2028/29 campaign.
A product of the club’s Academy, the talented midfielder made his debut against Ballinamallard United in the North-West Senior Cup final in 2023.
He has since gone on to make 40 appearances for the club and scored twice during the 2025/26 season as Coleraine finished second in the Premiership and won the Irish Cup.
When asked to sum up his thoughts about the new deal, Devine said: “I’m delighted to get everything over the line and obviously I’m very happy to commit my future here.
“The club is heading in the right direction and we’ve had a taste of success which we want more of and I’m determined to play a big part in helping the club achieve its goals.
“I had a meeting with Ruaidhri this time last year about going out on loan and I must say the Welders were massive in my development. It was a loan that suited all parties.
“Obviously coming back in January, I managed to play a part in our success in terms of winning the Irish Cup and qualifying for Europe, so I back myself to play at this level.”
Devine, who lives locally, praised the staff and team-mates for how they have taken him under their wing since cementing himself in the first-team squad.
“This will be my proper first year of full-time football which I think will really assist me,” he added.
“Being a local boy, I think the fans have taken an affiliation to me which is nice.
“The players have looked after me, taught me lessons and put me in my place at times but that is what it’s all about.
“The gaffer and staff have helped me to polish my game and play with freedom to make the step up but I know this is only the start.”
