COLERAINE FC is delighted to confirm the appointment of George Dennison as the club’s new physiotherapist…
The 34-year-old has already commenced his new employment at The Showgrounds, where he brings former experience in previous roles at Ulster Rugby, Exeter Chiefs and Leicester Tigers in the world of rugby.
Dennison, who hails from Ballymena but now lives in Portrush, will work closely with the management team and medical staff to oversee injury prevention, treatment, and recovery across the senior squad.
Speaking on his appointment, George said: “With family in the north coast, Portstewart and Portrush, my family and I set camp in Portrush.
“When the job came up with Coleraine, I was asked to come on board and it was an opportunity too good to miss with where the club’s going and it’s very exciting to come on board.
“The club’s professional approach has allowed me to take an opportunity to put my expertise into place in an environment that is open and willing to push on.
“Since I’ve started the role, probably two weeks now, it’s been fantastic. The group of guys have been so welcoming and there’s been a few challenging cases, but the guys really have taken to my philosophy of rehabbing.
“Hopefully, we’ll get some of those players back on the field as soon as possible, but overall, I’m really happy to be here and really excited to see what’s to come in the future with this club.”
Chief Executive Officer, Dale Pryde-MacDonald, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have George joining us. When we were made aware of George’s availability, myself and Ruaidhri met with him and it was clear he was the perfect fit for us.”
“George has amassed some fantastic experience in his field and will contribute massively to the growth and development of our medical department.
“By bringing George to the club we strongly believe we have somebody that can not only lead the medical department but find the best and most effective ways to ensure our players are well supported and given the best guidance to maintain their readiness to compete on all fronts.”
