Nicholl confirmed as Guest Speaker
COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that Jimmy Nicholl will be the guest speaker at the club’s 90th anniversary dinner this weekend…
The former Manchester United and Rangers defender – who won 73 caps for Northern Ireland – confirmed his attendance this week.
Nicholl is currently the assistant manager of the Northern Ireland international team and Chairman, Colin McKendry, has spoken of his delight after he accepted the invitation.
“As a club we are delighted that Jimmy will be in attendance,” McKendry said.
“He is a well known figure and played for some of the top clubs in Britain.
“We have heard good reports that he will tell some fantastic stories and will make people laugh.
“With Grant Cameron as host, Mojo band providing live music, our very own magician Rodd Hogg and Jimmy Nicholl it makes for a fantastic night.”
The event will take place this Saturday at the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine with guests asked to arrive at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
The current first-team squad and the 1974 Irish League Champions team will be present along with past chairmen and managers.
There will be images and footage from previous matches and the Club kindly ask supporters if they can lend any former strips from previous years.
