The Bannsiders held a 1-0 lead with 20 minutes remaining but slipped to a defeat as Matthew Fitzpatrick and Michael O’Connor netted for the hosts.

Kearney remarked that his side had several opportunities to double their lead after Andy Scott’s opener but the manner of the last 20 minutes ‘was not good enough’ as they were beaten for a third time out of their last four Premiership games.

Results elsewhere went in the Bannsiders’ favour but Kearney insisted that his side will have to produce some big performances between now and the end of the season to be in the mix for European qualification.
