COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that Charles Dunne will be extending his stay at The Showgrounds – subject to a medical…

The defender, who made an instant impact during a six-month stint during the second-half of last season, has now committed his future to the Bannsiders ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Dunne made 16 appearances for the club after arriving in the recent January transfer window and his performances saw him win the Northern Ireland Football Writers’ Association Player of the Month for March.

The 32-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the Bannsiders squad and counts the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Motherwell and St Mirren as his former clubs.

Speaking about the announcement, Bannsiders boss Ruaidhri Higgins said: “We are delighted that Charles has extended his stay at the club.

“We all saw the impact he made both on and off the pitch during his six months here.

“This exciting news brings us very close to the completion of our squad, which we are delighted with.

“I know the supporters will be over the moon with this piece of business.”
