The central defender opened the scoring in the first-half, before Jamie McGonigle’s second-half strike earned the Stripes all three points at the Ballymena Showgrounds.

O’Donnell admitted his first derby could not have went any better and has praised the whole team for their defensive performance against the Sky Blues.

The 25-year-old is relishing the clash with Linfield in two weeks and is expecting a ‘fantastic atmosphere’ at The Showgrounds.
