The Bannsiders ensured their name will be in the hat for the third round draw on Saturday as Ian Parkhill struck a last minute winner to overcome Ballyclare Comrades.

O’Donnell insists that the result was the most important thing rather than the performance but credited his team-mates for getting through against their Championship opponents.

The defender highlighted the importance of the entire first-team squad at The Showgrounds as Josh Carson made a return to the starting line-up, with Aaron Burns expected to be available for selection.

The skipper also previews Monday night’s league clash against Crusaders on Sky Sports.
