Official Coleraine Podcast: Episode 13

EPISODE 13 of the Official Coleraine Podcast is one that can’t be missed…

And that’s why we have ex-Bannsider Rory Patterson on the show as the marksman scored 41 goals during the 2009/10 season, before moving to Plymoutho via Glentoran where he never kicked a ball.

Rory discusses the start of his career at Rochdale but it was at FC United of Manchester where he made his name and is still seen as a club legend.

Patterson would join the Stripes under Davy Platt and he spoke of his disappointment at not lifting silverware during a memorable campaign that also saw him capped at international level with Northern Ireland.

The L/Derry man spoke openly about his time at The Showgrounds and his return to the Ballycastle Road with Linfield and the hostility that he faced.

The 36-year-old, who is currently on the books at Dungannon Swifts, revealed that he enjoys mentoring young players and gave his views on an-all island league.

Hosted by Damian Mullan, alongside panellists Johnny McNabb and Aaron O’Neill, the quartet discuss the Stripes’ fixture against Crusaders this Saturday.
