O’Hara signs pro forms

COLERAINE FC is pleased to announce that Ciaran O’Hara has penned his first professional contract with the club…

The striker has agreed a two-and-a-half year deal after being promoted to the first-team squad during the 2023/24 campaign.

After impressing for the club’s U20 side, O’Hara scored on his Premiership start against Loughgall before netting against Dungannon Swifts seven days later.

The Limavady native has also previously been capped at youth level by Northern Ireland.

Speaking to colerainefc.com, boss Oran Kearney said: “I think like a lot of the young ones coming through at the minute – and we have a cracking cohort – Ciaran is a little bit older and he’s always been scoring different types of goals for the U20’s.

“He has got all the different attributes that you’d want to see in a young striker.

“He’s by no means the finished article, he knows that himself and the hard work starts now.

“It’s testament to him and the hard work down below us in the club that we keep having a strong cohort of young players getting a chance.”
