Kearney insists he was ‘happy to pick up all three points’ at a difficult venue and labelled the performance as a positive one.

With the Bannsiders in action nine times before the end of February, Kearney acknowledged that the change of system was to keep everyone fresh ahead of a busy run of fixtures.

Larne pulled a goal back with just over 15 minutes remaining and Kearney heaped praise on his troops for hanging onto a valuable three points.
