OK hails club effort

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney paid tribute to club volunteers and his players following the Bannsiders’ victory against Dungannon Swifts…

The Stripes made it four successive wins in the Danske Bank Premiership as Aaron Jarvis’ first-half header was added to by a fantastic strike from Eoin Bradley after the break.

Kearney was quick to praise Trevor Moffatt and Tommy Doherty for getting the pitch in a playable condition as the wintery conditions struck on the Ballycastle Road.

The boss admits he would have liked to have seen his players make their first-half dominance count with further goals but he was pleased to see the match out, as well as being impressed with Matthew Shevlin’s debut despite going close on three occasions to finding the back of the net.

With Coleraine next in action against Larne on Tuesday night, Kearney knows his players will have to be ‘ruthless’ in front of goal if they are to pick up a positive result at Inver Park.
