OK: ‘We won’t need to lift players’

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney rued the ‘fine margins’ of football after his side were beaten by Cliftonville at Solitude…

The Bannsiders would suffer penalty kick heartache as they missed three out of their four spot kicks as the Reds advanced to the next round.

Kearney remarked that the players ‘were brilliant to a man’ but that he would have liked Conor McKendry and Jamie Glackin at his disposal to get back up the pitch.

The boss labelled the second-half as ‘strong’ but one lapse cost his side dear at the end, as well as commenting on Jack O’Mahony’s first goal since arriving at the club.

Kearney believes he won’t have to pick his players up ahead of next weekend’s fixture at home to Glentoran.
