ZANE Okoro says he excited for the next chapter of his career after penning a loan deal at The Showgrounds…
The winger has put pen-to-paper on a season-long loan as he makes the switch across the Irish Sea from Lincoln City.
Okoro has been on the books at the Imps for the last number of years and made two appearances in Sky Bet League One last season.
When asked what Coleraine fans can expect from the 18-year-old, he replied: “I’m really excited to come here.
“I want to get as much consistent football as possible and help provide goals and assists.
“I feel like a big part of my game is to excite the fans and that’s what I want to do. I can play on either wing or in the number 10 position.
“I’m a very direct winger and I like to take on the full-backs in a one-v-one.”
Okoro, who grew up in Connecticut, USA, moved to the UK seven years ago.
But what is he now expecting from the challenges in the Irish League?
He explained: “I think being in and around the first-team at Lincoln City gave me a real taste for senior men’s football.
“I feel that moving to Coleraine is the next step for me as I know what their ambitions are and everything else.
“My research on the Irish League started a few days ago but I already knew a few of the teams and things like that.
“I’m just excited to meet everyone and get going.”
