CONGRATULATIONS to Matthew Shevlin who has been named as the December Player of the Month…

The striker secured 54% of the vote to beat Conor McDermott in second, Stephen O’Donnell in third and Dean Jarvis in fourth.

Shevlin netted in the 2-0 win against Dungannon Swifts before bragging a brace in the semi-final of the BetMcLean Cup against Cliftonville, with the Bannsiders later triumphing on penalties.

The 24-year-old also found the back of the net on Boxing Day to make it 17 goals for the campaign.

It marks the second time Shevlin has won the Player of the Month award and we would like to thank everyone for their votes.
