On the Spot…with Aaron Traynor

BANNSIDERS defender Aaron Traynor is the man with all the questions to answer as our ‘On the Spot’ series continues…

1. Occupation?

Burns Skills School.

2. Favourite player of all time?

Rivaldo, although Maldini runs him close.

3. Favourite meal?

Pizza.

4. Pre-match breakfast?

It changes frequently but I always have a coffee. It can be Weetabix and a smoothie, or toast, eggs and bacon.

5. Any lucky traditions?

Left sock and boot on before my right.

6. PS4 or Xbox?

PS4.

7. What teams do you support?

Never supported a team for some strange reason but let on to support Celtic to annoy a few boys.

8. Three guests for a dinner – dead or alive – who do you pick and why?

Conor McGregor – it’s a true fact that I know where he lives and I’ve been to his before before – he wasn’t in though! But the man has done so much in sport and is a serious character.

Kevin Bridges – seen him last year and is hands down the funniest man alive.

Ronaldo –  the man has done it all in the game. Doesn’t get much better.

9. Favourite movie?

Step Brothers.

10. What is your favourite app?

Instagram.

11. If you were deserted on an island, which Coleraine player would you choose to be with and why?

Steven Douglas – the man is nuts and he is some craic.

12. Who is your room mate on European trips?

Josh Carson when he wants to be.

13. If you could be a Coleraine player for one day who would it be and why?

Aaron Burns for two reasons – from Sunday to Friday he cruises about in style in his Range Rover.

On a Saturday he scores goals (I still haven’t scored one for Coleraine)

14. What other sports do you play?

Gaelic.

15. Who is your best mate at the club?

All the boys are tight. We have a cracking changing room. I’d say the boys I travel with I’d be pretty close too – Winky Murphy, Josh Carson, Aaron Burns and Dylan Davidson.

16. You enjoy a pizza or two – but does pineapple belong on a pizza?

Not on my pizza anyway.

Chicken, salami, pepperoni and jalapenos – that’s the one.

17. You are currently under rehabilitation for a knee injury – how is your progress?

It’s been a long three months in my eyes but I’m happy with the process. Alan Millar is helping me out and we are moving on to the next stage of my rehab. It’s hard missing games and watching the boys but I’m doing everything I can to be ready for the start of next season.
