On the Spot…with Ciaron Harkin

COLERAINE midfielder Ciaron Harkin answered some questions as our ‘On the Spot’ series continues…

1. Occupation?

I work in an office for a budget energy electric company.

2. Favourite player of all time?

Wayne Rooney & Kevin Deery.

3. Favourite meal?

Chicken box or doner kebab with no veg.

4. Pre-match breakfast?

Sausage bap with brown sauce – any man who eats it with red sauce is weird, i.e. Darren McCauley!

5. Any lucky traditions?

Before every game me and Stevie O’Donnell have to hug in the changing room and on the pitch. Then, me and Jamie McGonigle have this handshake we do before every game and after he scores.

6. PS4 or Xbox?

I don’t play any but if I had to choose, it would be the PS4.

7. What teams do you support?

I support Derry City and I don’t follow any other teams.

8. Three guests for a dinner – dead or alive – who do you pick and why?

Kevin Hart – to add some comedy to proceedings.

Donald Trump – he’s a complete mad man and would argue with everyone.

Conor McGregor – so then he could beat up Donald Trump for a laugh.

9. Favourite movie?

High School Musical One.

10. Your favourite moment as a Coleraine player?

Winning the Irish Cup.

11. If you were deserted on an island, which Coleraine player would you choose to be with and why?

Josh Carson – because I wouldn’t mind if we never left the island. I’d be happy to listen to all his stories about when he played for Ipswich.

12. What do you think of your song? Is your hair really that fine?

I love it – although it was great last year when I actually scored a few goals. This year they should ‘keep the hair is fine’ part but change ‘he scores belters’ all the time’ – only joking! I’ll score again some day.

13. If you could be a Coleraine player for one day who would it be and why?

Aaron Burns – just so I can drive that Range Rover of his and see how the other half live.

14. What other sports do you play?

I don’t play any other sports at the minute.

15. Are you currently watching any TV shows?

Yes, I’m watching one at the minute called Manifest and I’d urge everyone to give it a go. I’ve also recently finished Bodyguard and it was another good watch.
