The full-back beat off competition from Lyndon Kane, Josh Carson and Matthew Shevlin to take the top spot as voted by supporters.

McDermott put in man-of-the match performances against Ballymena United in the BetMcLean Cup and Linfield in the Premiership, as well as providing a brace of assists in last weekend’s victory against Portadown.
