Following a series of trials, Jack Bradley, Andrew Whiteside and Alexander Gawne were all named in the under-18’s panel for the fixture against Australia, which takes this Tuesday at Inver Park (KO 11:30am). Entry into this fixture is free.

Unfortunately, due to injury, Alexander will be unable to play for the Green and White Army against their Australian counterparts.

Speaking to colerainefc.com, boss Rodney McAree heaped praise on the trio for their hard work and believes Alexander’s time will come.

“Congratulations to all three lads for their call-up,” he said.

“These three lads have done extremely well since I’ve joined Coleraine FC and I’m delighted to see the recognition they are getting.

“With the right attitude and commitment, I see these boys having a bright and hopefully successful future and this experience will help aid their development.

“It’s a shame that Alexander will be unable to take part but I’m sure his time will come and we look forward to seeing him return from injury.”
