COLERAINE FC is pleased to announce the signing of defender Paddy Burns…
The 24-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a deal at The Showgrounds until the end of the season.
After featuring for Cliftonville Academy, Burns started his career at Glenavon where he was handed his Premiership debut during the 2019/20 campaign.
However, Burns would soon be on his travels to the United States where he studied for a scholarship at the Notre Dame University in Indiana, where he won the Atlantic Coast Conference title in 2021.
The former Northern Ireland youth international returned back to Northern Ireland last year and joined Cliftonville in the 2024 January transfer window, with whom he won the Irish Cup back in May.
“I’m delighted to sign Paddy,” head coach Dean Shiels said.
“He’s a proven Irish league player who recently won the Irish Cup during an impressive spell at Cliftonville.
“He loves defending and has really impressed since training with us the last three weeks.
“He will give us more depth in an area in which we need it.”
The Club can confirm that Burns will wear the number 12 shirt.
