The former Manchester City trainee will spend the 2025-26 campaign on loan after an agreement with his parent club Carlisle United.
The 26-year-old said he was “buzzing” to join the club and link-up again with Ruaidhri Higgins and Conor Loughrey after previously working together at Derry City.
Patching said he has been impressed by his new surroundings and how he is eager to help his team-mates.
