COLERAINE will hope to improve their chances of European football next season as they face Cliftonville at Solitude (KO 7:45pm)…
Coleraine will hope to build on recent positive results after beating Crusaders and drawing with Linfield in their previous two encounters. As for the Reds, they conceded nine goals in their final two games after heavy defeats to Linfield and Glenavon.
Bannsiders boss Rodney McAree will be without the services of Lyndon Kane, Aaron Traynor, Stephen Lowry, Aaron Burns and Alexander Gawne through injury. However, the squad is now free of suspensions, meaning that Stephen O’Donnell, Adam Mullan and James McLaughlin are all available after serving recent bans.
The play-off fixture will be the fifth time the two clubs have clashed this season, with the first back in August as an Aaron Burns double earned a 2-1 at Solitude, before the Reds reversed that scoreline at The Showgrounds in October. The Stripes sealed all three points on New Year’s Day via goals from Eoin Bradley, Stephen Lowry, Aaron Canning and James McLaughlin, however, the Reds were victorious in the post-split fixture as they registered a 4-2 success at Solitude.
As ever, those unable to attend can follow the latest developments via the club’s official Twitter account (@ColeraineFC).
