COLERAINE FC will be opening their new pitch at the end of September when Ballymena United come to town and it will be a landmark occasion for the club…

Bannsiders fans are vital to the club for their support from the terraces but some lucky fans will have the chance to experience life on the pitch before its official opening.

There will be a draw for 40 names from the list of fans who subscribe to the club’s e-zine made on September 15th and those lucky players will be invited to play at The Showgrounds in a special match on Friday, September 24th, kick off 7pm.

The two teams will be managed by former Coleraine players Paul Gaston and Paul Owens.

Coleraine FC Director, Simon Magee said, “It is important that new pitch is played on in preparation for the first home game of the season and who better to do that than our brilliant Bannsiders fans?

“This special game is a way to say thanks to our loyal fans and the fairest way to do that is to do a free draw.

“We already have over 2000 people on the list but there is plenty of room for more, to be in the draw simply sign up as a subscriber to the club’s e-zine before 5pm on September 15th and you are in – it costs nothing.”

Winners will be announced on the Official Coleraine FC podcast on September 16th and the details will be sent out by email.

If you want to enter but not play, that is fine, you will be able to nominate a guest player to take your place. The game is open to anyone over 18.
