And he is receiving backing from the club, including Ben Doherty who this week donated the boots he wore when he scored the winning penalty in that memorable win in Maribor, with Eoin Bradley also lending his support.

Since then clubs across the country have got behind Jordan’s latest efforts, including Larne, Linfield and Cliftonville.

The Bannside fanatic, who has raised over three and a half thousand pounds since lockdown last year, will begin a 24 hour ‘gaming’ marathon on April 9 to raise further funds for the Young Minds mental health organisation.

Jordan chose to set up his “Let’s Talk About It with Jordan’ Facebook page last March, the idea coming about after a close friend took his own life.

Since then he has teamed up with Young Minds and they now have followers all over the world.

“I never imagined it would develop the way it has,” said Jordan.

“I’ve never claimed to be a professional but I’ve never been afraid to speak about my feelings.

“I’m happy to listen but we now have people available to speak to.”

Over 80 businesses, players and clubs from various sports to date have backed Jordan on his previous fund raising adventures.

So as a Coleraine fan, he was understandably delighted when Ben offered up his boots to help the cause.

“You can imagine my reaction when he contacted me to tell me!

“I’m not sure yet what we will do with them but we will possibly put the boots up for bids.”

If that’s the case, there will be no shortage of takers.

And hopefully plenty more get behind Jordan Greer who continues to do a brilliant job highlighting a worthy cause!
